News agency Reuters quoted sources as saying that due to Corona, the duration of the session of Parliament could be reduced by a week. This means that this time the monsoon session of Parliament can be concluded a week before.
Two parliamentarians told news agency Reuters that the duration of the monsoon session of Parliament could be reduced after around 30 lawmakers were found to be Corona positive. Meanwhile, it is also worth noting that the Corona virus figure has crossed 53 lakhs in the country.
Parliament session is going on for the first time in the last 6 months due to Corona virus epidemic. The monsoon session of Parliament is going on from September 14, which is to end on October 1. But according to parliament officials, the monsoon session can be concluded by a week. One of the two officials involved in the functioning of the Parliament proceedings said that Corona positive cases have come up since the beginning of the monsoon session, so the government is thinking that the session should be shortened. As a precaution, the government has decided to conduct daily screening of media persons covering the Parliament since Saturday.
Corona figure in country crosses 53 lakhs
According to Health Ministry data, a record 95,880 corona virus patients have been cured in the last 24 hours. While 93,337 new cases have been registered, the total number of cases has gone up to 5.3 million. More than 42 lakh people in the country have overcome COVID-19 so far. According to the ministry data, India's recovery rate is now 79.28 percent, the highest in the world.
