Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will hold a meeting with Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and the chiefs of the three armies today. In this, the situation of Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh will be discussed. Also, security arrangements will be reviewed.

Disengagement completed at 3 points in Galvan
National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and the Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi may meet again today on the border dispute in Ladakh. This will be the first discussion after the two armies retreat from disputed areas in Galvan. Earlier, India's and China's disbursements on Hot Spring (Petroling Point-17), PP-14 and PP-15 were completed on Thursday. According to sources in the news agency, the Chinese army is also continuously retreating from the finger area. This process is expected to be completed in a few days.

Tensions escalated after clashes between Indian and Chinese forces in the Galvan Valley on 15 June. To mitigate this, Doval had a video conferencing with Wang Yi of China on 5 July. In this, 4 points including the removal of the army from the disputed areas were agreed-
1. To keep peace on the border and to advance the relationship, the two countries should keep pace with each other. If ideas do not match, then controversy should not be raised.
2. The process of de-extraction and de-extraction on LAC should be completed as soon as possible. This work should be phase wise.
3. Both countries respect LAC and do not take unilateral steps. Work together to prevent future border incidents.
4. The NSA Doval and the Foreign Minister of China will continue to negotiate further, so that according to the agreements of the two countries, there will be peace and protocol on the border.
